Digital Jury Process

The Philadelphia Water Color Society has created this forum as a supplement to the newletter and to create dialog regarding digital submissions for the jury process. We would like your feedback on Preparing Images for the Jury Process article, or comments or questions in general.

Jean, thanks for a terrific article!

If using a service such as ZAPP or Juried Art Services, how much do they charge? It there a membership fee that the Society would pay, a charge per show, a charge per image, or how do they get reimbursed for their services? Also, how would we get the images of the selected paintings so that we can resize them and incorporate them into the catalog?

ZAPP uses an annual license fee based structure with a one-time setup fee. The annual license fee is based on the size of the show. The pricing structure includes image management that would allow us to select the images for catalog use.

Hi Jean, I just went into their site... very exciting except it is late and I will have to read the entire thing tomorrow. Great idea! Thanks.
